The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side produced a superb performance with both bat and ball to edge the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side by just 6 runs in a thrilling contest on 3rd October 2021. Virat Kohli’s men have now posted their 8th win in 12 games.

And now, the captain of the RCB franchise, Virat Kohli has stated that RCB has experienced a great campaign in the 2021 edition of the IPL. The 32-year-old also reckoned that the Bangalore outfit still has two more matches to finish inside the top two and they should play fearless cricket.

“[To have] eight wins out of 12 games is a great campaign. We have two more opportunities to finish in the top two. That should give us motivation to play even more fearlessly,” said Virat Kohli after the conclusion of the match between RCB and PBKS.

The batting has let Punjab Kings down: KL Rahul

KL Rahul, the captain of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) outfit stated that the Punjab side has produced disappointing performances with the willow in the last couple of seasons.

Rahul even stated that the role that he performs with the willow is playing on his mind, and concluded by adding that when he is leading the team, he should accept the responsibility that comes along the way as well.

“With the bat, the last couple of years have been disappointing. If I have to be honest, our batting has let us down. I’ll be lying if I say it doesn’t play on my mind that I play a role that the team demands. It’s not something that I enjoy, but when you lead the team, you have to accept the responsibility,” said KL Rahul.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore side will next take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outfit on 6th October 2021 in Abu Dhabi, while the Punjab Kings will lock horns with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side on 7th October 2021 in Dubai. The RCB side is currently placed at the 3rd place in the points table, while the PBKS outfit is stationed at the 5th spot.
