The finals of the Red Bull Campus Cricket 2020 went live from Ekana International Stadium, Lucknow. DAV College Jalandhar and SS Jain Subodh College Jaipur took centre stage for the esteemed tournament for colleges across India. DAV Jalandhar were crowned as the winner of the event as they grabbed the limelight by defeating Jaipur in the finals by eight runs. The team winning the national finals goes on to represent the country at the world level.

The final match of the famed tournament saw DAV Jalandhar winning the toss and electing to bat first. While walking down the field with the willow in hand, Jalandhar started losing wickets early and struggled to reach a decent score. They posted 120 runs on the board for opponents to take on. Even after posting an ordinary score, Jalandhar’s bowling was skilled enough to stop the opponents on just 112 runs.

The match was caught in a tight spot towards the end as both the teams had a nail-biting fight, but it was finally Jalandhar’s day who walked away with all the glory. Prerit Dutta was named as the player of the match for his knock of 23 runs and bagging three wickets under his belt alongside. Jasvir Singh of Jalandhar was named as the best batsman of the tournament for accumulating 165 runs in his account in the National Final tournament.

Aashish Indoriya of Jaipur was named as the best bowler of the tournament for naming 14 scalps on his credit in the entire season. Aditya Pratap of DAV Jalandhar was named as the man of the series as he amassed great 181 runs in the National Final tournament.

Jalandhar won the finale by eight runs. Rajasthan Royals pacer, Ankit Rajpoot who hails from Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh, was present at the occasion to scout the best talents from the teams. The best players would get further chances alongside Rajasthan Royals.
