Sri Lanka Cricket board set an example in front of the world after touring Pakistan for a cricket banter. They played three-match ODI and T20I series and also tasted a historic series win against the hosts in T20Is. This was the first-ever long visit of the islanders to the green flag nation after the 2009 horrific attack on their national team. Now, it looks like the next series can be on its way in the upcoming months.

As per the reports, PCB has come down with a proposal in front of SLC to play a two-match Test series in Pakistan. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi, followed by the second in Karachi. Moreover, the delegations from SLC security will travel to their nation in order to have a check on the preparations of security.

PCB lines up another series for Sri Lanka

Earlier, many Sri Lankan top players walked out of the tour to the Islamic nation. Sri Lankan coach feels that players might turn up for the upcoming series after the recent successful tour, “We’ll certainly explain that to them and they’ll have seen it as well. We’ll try and convince them as much as we can, but we cannot enforce anything. Hopefully, they’ve changed by seeing this series be so successful,” Ratnayake said as quoted by Business Recorder.

After returning from Pakistan, (SLC) chief Shammi Silva told to media that the players got fed up of being confined to their hotel for three to four days. In return, the PCB official showed dissatisfaction over the comments made by the SLC Chief.

A top official said that it was the visitor’s team that asked for top security and they just wanted to make their stay comfortable, “The PCB is very disappointed and hurt over such comments as presidential level security was provided to the visiting team on the insistence of their board. We wanted to make their stay as comfortable as possible,” Pakistan official said.

Sri Lanka’s upcoming assignment is to play three-match T20I series against Australia starting on 27th October 2019 at Adelaide.
