India A powered by superb knock by Rishi Dhawan and Akshar Patel win the Quadrangular series finals versus Australia by 4 wickets. Dhawan scored 56 and Patel’s 45 under pressure helped India A sail through and not only win the match but also clinch the Cup.

They were jittered in their way of chasing 275 on the loss of 3 wickets for 51 and by the time the total ran to 182 six of their batsmen had walked back into the pavilion. Concern could be felt and seen on the Indian camp; this was when the two rose to the occasion and delivered a match & tournament winning partnership. In the end the 93 run unbeaten stand by the two took the team home with 8 balls to spare.

Australia A got to the total they did by virtues of a smashing innings played by their seasoned skipper Cameron White in which he made 137 runs himself. Along with a partnership of 146 shared between him and Phillip Hughes who also scored a half-century (51). Dhawan Kulkarni the pick of the Indian bowlers in the entire tournament picked 3 important scalps here as well conceding 51.

Indian bowlers did pick wickets at regular intervals and was the reason they could keep the target under reachable radar. For India the other run getters were Kedar Jadhav (78 off 73) and Manoj Tiwary (50 off 75). Runs from the two upfront ensured India never actually lost track of the chase and in the end the foundation was good enough for success.

India A have had a fantastic tour of Australia a lot of guys who were in the Indian ODI team or recons were given chance. Also as Naman Ojha made his way to the Indian test team shows the national selectors too are watching them keenly. Sanju Samson is the other guy who has impressed with 244 runs in 7 matches on tour.
