Just like any other star-kid, there were a lot of expectations from the son of former Indian legendary cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar. Rohan Gavaskar, however, couldn’t really live up to the expectations as a cricketer. After his on-field exploits, he was seen in the commentary box. Known to possess a good sense of humour, the 42-year-old has set Twitter on the ‘rolling on the floor laughing’ mode with his hilarious self-trolling tweet.

Gavaskar junior uploaded a picture, where he is sharing the frame with two of India’s finest batters ever, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Not that the picture is something to laugh at, but the hilarious caption is bound to burst you into laughter.

Rohan said three of India’s greatest openers are featured in the picture. However, while Sachin and Sehwag were openers in cricket, Rohan said he is an expert in opening bottles. “India’s greatest openers . Tendulkar , Gavaskar , Sehwag. Two at cricket . One at bottles . @sachin_rt @virendersehwag,” the caption of the image reads.

From one celebrity kid to the other

Rohan’s tweet was so funny that it even caught the attention of Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, who, like everyone else, couldn’t control his laughter. He expressed his emotions with emojis. Replying to Abhishek’s unexpected reply, Rohan said: “Hahahah .. you know it bruv !!”

Rohan’s career in numbers

The Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh born cricketer couldn’t really get into the greater scheme and has played only 11 matches for his country. In those matches, he has amassed 151 runs and picked up a single wicket. His left-handed batting and orthodox spin was more effective at the domestic level.

Representing Bengal, he has played 117 first-class matches and has 6938 runs, which comprises 18 centuries. He has also picked up 38 first-class wickets, which boasts of a 5-wicket-haul. Later on, he joined the now-defunct Indian Cricket League (ICL), playing for Kolkata Tigers.
