It is fair to say that the year 2019 has been the year of Rohit Sharma. From welcoming his daughter in this world to shellacking hundreds after hundreds in the fifty-over World Cup to successfully transitioning into a Test match opener, Rohit had it all covered this year.

During the World Cup, Rohit became the first-ever batsmen to rack up five hundred in a single quadrennial event and his picture where was standing as a dejected man after having got out for 1 in the semi-final against New Zealand, just showed how much winning this World Cup meant to the Indian opener.

Rohit then proceeded to channel his frustration into performances when he was given the opportunity to bat at the top of the order in Test cricket, and he did that with aplomb.

In recent times, one of the trends that have become a regular is candid interviews taken by the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal on his show known as ‘Chahal TV’. But, in the latest video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s social media handle, this time Chahal was joined by his partner in crime, Kuldeep Yadav in a rapid-fire interview with Rohit Sharma.

Sharma has recently got himself clean-shaved. When asked about the reason for the same, the Indian opener revealed that it’s because of his daughter that he had to get rid of it, considering she does not comes not near him when he is sporting a beard.

Rohit Sharma’s dwindling T20 form can become a cause of concern

Speaking about Rohit’s stupendous 2019, the Indian opener broke a plethora of records in his debut series against South Africa at the aforementioned position. Rohit, not only became the first opener to score hundreds in each of the innings of his maiden Test at the converted position but also the first to rack up more than 300 runs in a single Test on debut as a Test match opener.

That said, Rohit’s form in the shortest format of the game has started to become a bit of a cause of worry for Team India. The Mumbai Indians skipper is averaging in the early 20s in T20I cricket this year and with the T20 World Cup coming up in ten months time, India will hope Rohit can turn around his fortunes, and perhaps the series decider in Mumbai against the West Indies couldn’t be a better time to get back in the groove.
