The veteran New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has expressed his delight to be in India for the limited overs series starting from October 22. New Zealand team led by Kane Williamson arrived in Mumbai on Friday for their 3-weeks tour to the country. However, only nine players came as the remaining players will be picked from the ongoing series between India A and New Zealand A. The teams are playing the fourth One-Dayer in Visakhapatnam with the hosts leading the series by 1-0.

Kiwis will play a series of three One-Day Internationals which will be followed by as many T20Is on the tour as the home season for the Men in Blue continues. The visitors will first play a couple of warm-up games before the opening game commences in Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium. The last two matches of the series will be played in Pune and Nagpur. The T20I leg of the tour will begin on November 1 in Delhi at Ferozshah Kotla which will mark as the final international game of Ashish Nehra.

Taylor suffering from jetlag

Ross Taylor himself posted a picture he had clicked from Trident Hotel on social media website Instagram and revealed the news of his arrival along with the team in India. He captioned the image with the message for his followers which read, “Nice to be back in India. #jetlagged.” However, it is natural of the players being jetlagged after traveling all over from New Zealand.

Nice to be back in India. #jetlagged ??

The 33-year-old is struggling with his form currently as he hasn’t scored more than 40 in his last eight innings. Though, he has the experience of 190 ODIs in which he has amassed at an amazing average of 44.12. The series is crucial for him as he will look to make some runs and script a victory for his side. The tussle between the two teams is expected to be an intriguing one as the action will unfold from October 22.
