RR vs RCB IPL 2022 Qualifier 2: Weather Forecast in Ahmedabad for today’s game

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are set to lock horns in Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad on Friday (May 27) in the 73rd match of the tournament. Both the teams will look to put their best effort to face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Final on 29 May 2022.

Speaking about the team’s form, RR is coming off a defeat against GT in Qualifier 1 by 7 wickets while RCB defeated Lucknow Super Giants in Eliminator by 14 runs. The Rajasthan Royals are getting a second shot at making it to the final having finished the league stage at the second position.

IPL 2022 Qualifier 2: Will rain affect today’s important match?

According to Accuweather, there is no such possibility of rain during today’s match in Ahmedabad. The overall temperature will move around 35 to 40 degrees and the conditions will be slightly humid. There is only a 1% chance to rain on Friday and that shouldn’t create much of a problem.

As per the IPL guidelines, super over will determine the result if there is no play possible within the regulation time. If the conditions don’t allow even the super over to take place, then the team that finished above at the end of the group stage will qualify automatically for the Final. 

As per this rule, RR will qualify ahead of RCB as they finished above them in the group stage. RR finished at the second spot after gathering 18 points from 9 wins out of 14 matches. On the other hand, RCB managed to make an entry into the fourth position by collecting 16 points from 8 wins out of 14 matches. The match is scheduled to get started at 7.30 pm IST at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, the final will also be played at the same venue on Sunday (May 29). While RCB has the winning momentum with them having won their previous game vs LSG, the Royals will need their top players to click to set the final date with the Gujarat Titans.
