The Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is in no mood to stop as the 49-year-old is currently the leading run-scorer for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series. Playing against the England Legends, the opener smashed 40 off just 20 deliveries and it quickly reminded the fans of his breathtaking inning against Australia in the summer of 1998, which is also famously known as the ‘Dessert Storm’.

Now, it’s not the amount of runs but the quality of shots he played against England Legends which made it to the headlines. Fans were left awestruck seeing Sachin shimmy down the track and hit sixes in style. Batting at a strike rate of 200, the maestro hit three sixes to give India Legends a good start.

Seeing his vintage avatar, the videos immediately went viral on social media and some of the fans even asked BCCI to consider him for the T20 World Cup. Even though it’s all in light humour but social media is yet to get over it. Even nine years after his retirement from international cricket, the cricketing legend is showing no signs of any rustiness and that proves the kind of quality he still possesses.

India Legends beat England Legends by 40 runs in a rain-affected match

Based on Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh’s heroics, the Men in Blue put up 170 runs on board after 20 overs. Sachin smashed 40 while the two-time world champion Yuvraj Singh smashed 31 off 15 deliveries to help India put up a mammoth total of 170 runs after 15 overs.

England legends couldn’t match score of India legends as they fell 40 short after 15 overs. Rajesh Pawar picked up three wickets for India in the match while Stuart Binny, Pragyan Ojha and Manpreet Goni picked one each. Based on his spectacular innings at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Dehradun, the Master Blaster was adjudged as the Player of the Match.
