Talking about destruction, David Miller was in the mood to blast few planets today. South Africa pounded hard once again on the wounded visitors and completed a scintillating whitewash in the tour, winning all the seven games. Miller scored the fastest hundred in T20I history and helped his side post 224 completely out of the blue.

Batting first, Hashim Amla played yet another quintessential Amla knock. He drives were as classy as ever and though the in-form Quinton de Kock’s replacement Mosehle was dismissed early, he managed to keep the momentum going. After Mosehle departed, Bangladesh managed to pick another wicket and skipper Shakib had two in has bag inside no time.

Amla and De Villiers registered a decent stand for the 3rd wicket where De Villiers unusually played the second fiddle. They added 41 for the 3rd wicket and when De Villiers was dismissed, South Africa was in a spot of bother at 78/3 in 10 overs. Amla just about completed his fifty and then came David Miller, to play one of the finest innings in International colors.

Initially, he kept ticking the scoreboard and allowed Amla to take control of the innings. The destruction began with a 23-run 16th over. The next few overs yielded 21 runs and after Amla was dismissed for a wonderful 85 off 51 balls, it was all Miller at the Senwes Park. The best part about the match was the penultimate over from Saifuddin, which took us back in time to Durban where Yuvraj clobbered Stuart Broad to all sides of the park.

Miller hit five sixes in a row and was on course to hit the final one out of the park. He just about missed an opportunity but few flicks he played in the over just reminded people how strong this lad is. The Killer-Miller struck two consecutive boundaries in the final over to bring up a 36-ball hundred the crowd was on its feet, so was the dressing room. South Africa finished at 224/4 and in the final 10 overs, they clobbered 146 runs.

Another day, another slay from the Proteas bowlers

Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes struck 17 runs off the first over from Beuran Hendricks but failed to lash on to the brilliant start they got. Skipper JP Duminy decided to roll his arm over in the second over against both left-handed batsmen and Imrul Kayes ran himself out in a disastrous sequence of events.

Duminy avenged his dismissal by picking up his counterpart Shakib’s wicket early in the game and the wickets kept tumbling. Mushfiqur Rahim showed no resistance this time and Robbie Frylinck got him nick the ball to the keeper. Sabbir Rahman was the next to go and inside the Powerplay, South Africa picked up 4 wickets to kill the game off.

Soumya Sarkar continued his impressive run and scored a decent 44 off 27 balls, but he tried a little too many heroics against Aaron Phangiso and got dismissed in the 9th over. The Proteas never allowed the batsmen to get back in the game after that with some disciplined bowling effort.

They lost 7 wickets wbefore getting to the three figures and Mohammad Saifuddin and Mehidy Hasan’s little cameos helped them register 141 before getting bowled out. Duminy was the star with the ball, finishing with figures of 2/23 and Phangiso chipped in with a brace as well. South Africa inflicted another massive defeat on the Tigers and it’ll take some time for them to get out of it.
