Not only Indians but a South African name is also on this list. Aiden Markram is considered the future of South African cricket in all three formats of the game. He has done wonders in white-ball cricket but he is yet to showcase his performances in the longest format of the game. He opened the innings for South Africa but he looked clueless throughout the series.

He scored just 76 runs in this series at a pathetic average of 12.67. This performance is barely acceptable for a player of his caliber. Mohammed Shami was his biggest nightmare, as he dismissed Markram four times in this series. The South African team is in a rebuilding phase and they demand a lot more from a player like him.

Markram is better suited for the limited-overs formats. He had a great white-ball form before the start of his series and the team wanted him to carry his white-ball form in the Test matches too but that didn’t happen. He is even considered as a captaincy option in the future for South Africa as he led South Africa to win an Under-19 World Cup in 2014.
