Virat Kohli simply can’t be kept out of the game for a long time. He likes to enjoy his time on and off the field and on Friday (January 21), Kohli let out his new dance moves while sitting in the dugout. He was out for a duck in the second ODI against South Africa and he was in fact, enjoying the run of play out in the middle as skipper KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant stitched an excellent partnership.

Both the batters scored half-centuries but were dismissed at a time when they started to go after the bowling. India got off to a good start with the opening stand piling up 63 for the first wicket and once again, Aiden Markram struck for the hosts dismissing Shikhar Dhawan. Rahul was dropped twice in his innings of 55 while Pant took Shamsi to the cleaners with some brutal hitting around the ground.

Shardul Thakur (40*) and Ravi Ashwin (25*) remained unbeaten in the end taking India’s score to 287 for 6 in the 50 overs. During the innings, Virat Kohli was seen sitting with Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah in the dugout and was seen practicing his dance moves. The move looked very hilarious and the commentary panel did enjoy it to an extent.

As far as his dismissal is concerned, Virat Kohli chipped a drive straight into the hands of the cover fielder in the bowling of Keshav Maharaj and bagged a five-ball duck.

Here’s the video of Kohli’s dancing in the dugout:

This is the first time since 2016 when Kohli has played as a pure batter in the Indian ODI side as KL Rahul was appointed as the skipper for the ongoing South Africa series. Rohit Sharma will take up the role once he returns from his injury, however, it remains to be seen who takes over the captaincy in Tests as Kohli recently gave up the leadership role in the longer format as well. India is trailing 0-1 in the three-match ODI series and they still have a lot of work to be done if they have to win the series.
