Sachin hails Rashid Khan as the best spinner in T20 cricket; spinner reacts

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar looked mighty pleased with the way Rashid Khan fared up in the most recent IPL encounter. Sachin took to the micro blogging site Twitter to hail the performance of Rashid in the Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2018. Coming in to the game, the Sunrisers Hyderabad were under some serious pressure. Their last win in the season had come on May 10.

They desperately needed someone to show them the way. They were down and out with the bat when Rashid Khan came at the crease. Rashid hit an unbeaten 34 off just 10 balls to take the team total to 174 in the match. Sachin looked very pleased with the Rashid used the long handle. Later in the game, Rashid returned with figures of 3/19 to stamp his authority on the game. His spell pushed the Knight Riders on the backfoot and sealed the fate of the game. Sachin, very impressed with the spell, hailed Rashid as the best bowler in the shortest format.

“Always felt @rashidkhan_19 was a good spinner but now I wouldn’t hesitate in saying he is the best spinner in the world in this format. Mind you, he’s got some batting skills as well. Great guy,” Sachin Tendulkar wrote in his tweet for Rashid Khan.

Rashid acknowledges the good wishes

Rashid was quick to acknowledge the good wishes that Sachin sent to him. He thanked Sachin for his kind words and went on to add that he is truly an inspiration for him. Such words make him work harded and come out as a better player.
