Sachin Tendulkar appeals one and all to take part in 'Swachh Bharat' campaign

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, in his latest stunt, to promote Narendra Modi ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, took to the streets with his broomstick and cleaned the filth himself. He then appealed to every citizen of the country to take part in the campaign and inculcate the measures in daily life.

Since retiring from the game of cricket, Tendulkar has been active when it comes to social responsibilities by taking part in various campaigns such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He then talked to the media personnel and enlisted the basic duties of a citizen in order to keep the country clean.

Sachin Tendulkar is just only one of the iconic ambassadors of the country fetched by Prime Minister to spread awareness amongst the masses regarding cleanliness. Ajinkya Rahane also received a letter from the PM office, thanking the Mumbai batsman for his volunteering for the cleanliness campaign.

Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag have also been associated with the campaign. Suresh Raina has also taken up Rally for Rivers campaign for Sadhguruji’s attempt for cleaner rivers.

“I urge one and all to use dustbins. One should throw the garbage only in dustbins. Nobody litters at home but as soon as one steps out, they tend to litter the land. On one hand, we treat Mother Nature as a goddess and at the other end people spit and litter on the very land,” commented Sachin according to ANI.

“I certainly do not approve such acts. I request everyone to take part in the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and inculcate the measures in daily life. This should be a civil responsibility for one and all. We have a tendency to state that the Sweeper (Kachrawala) is going to come and clean the garbage. As a matter of fact, we should be the ‘Kachrawalas’,” concluded Sachin Tendulkar.
