Sachin Tendulkar has been having issues with fake accounts of his children on the social media site Twitter. The legendary cricketer who retired from the game in 2013 after playing 200 Test matches and 463 ODI matches for India, has repeatedly asked the management of Twitter to delete fake accounts that are growing like mushrooms.

The former India captain has two children in daughter Sara, aged 22 and son Arjun, aged 20. While Sara has a verified account on the photo-sharing site Instagram, neither of them has any official account on the short messaging site. This has been brought to the attention of Twitter and Twitter India many times by Sachin. He had even asked the public to leave their children alone in 2017.

Tendulkar again requests Twitter India to delete fake accounts in name of his children

Many accounts have mushroomed on Twitter in name of Sara and Arjun and one such account by handle @jr_tendulkar was brought into light by Sachin Tendulkar himself, given it had recently made some instigating tweets implying that it was made by Arjun himself. The younger Tendulkar has been making rapid strides in the Mumbai cricket scene having played for Mumbai at the U-16 and U-19 level and often being used by the Indian team as a net bowler.

Sachin tweeted, “I wish to clarify that my son Arjun & daughter Sara are not on Twitter. The account @jr_tendulkar is wrongfully impersonating Arjun and posting malicious tweets against personalities & institutions. Requesting @TwitterIndia to act on this as soon as possible.”

Arjun Tendulkar’s fake account has tweets supporting former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis as well

This account supported Sanju Samson and called out MSK Prasad, BCCI selector for dropping the wicketkeeper from India team. There are tweets supporting BJP leader and former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis as well. The bio of the reported account reads: “Official. Left Arm Medium Pacer. Son of God” and has been active since June 2018.

The account had posted with the caption, “That’s how you attack a bit on someone’s confidence level like they did with ‘Sanju Samson’ I don’t know how MSK prasad select #RishabhPant. It’s good to invest in someone but it doesn’t mean u have rights to ignore someone’s talent Miss you in the squad ‘Samson’”
