Sachin Tendulkar congratulates the Indian skipper on his double century

There was a time when Sachin Tendulkar was smashing the best bowlers in the game out of the ground. Many Indians, including myself, have lived their dream through the master blaster. He was once the heartbeat of Indian cricket. Sachin gave hope to a billion people and now he sees a similar hope when Virat Kohli is at the crease.

The Indian skipper is in the form of his life, killing the records one by one, he is inching towards greatness beyond our understanding. Who else other than Sachin can know this better, after Virat scored his fourth double century the legend congratulated him on his outstanding achievement.

Virat’s bat has developed a spot right in the middle where the ball hits most times and Sachin said the Indian skipper’s bat was enough to tell you what kind of zone he is in as a batsman.

Sachin tweeted about the sweet spot on Kohli’s bat which is just battered and smashed. One does not need to look at his recent records to tell how well he is batting that spot on his bat tells a story itself.

It is as if the mantle has been successfully shifted. Every other young Indian wants to be Virat Kohli, the number four spot in the Tests is still the best. There is still a loud cheer when the second wicket falls, sensing that that the modern master is going to walk out to the middle.

Virat Kohli cannot be compared to Sachin Tendulkar at the moment but some years down the line, his greatness will eventually be compared and that day is not far if he continues to play like this.
