Sachin Tendulkar has been very keenly following the ongoing series between India and England. He has lauded the performances of the visitors in T20Is and is hoping for a similar show in the limited overs format as well. But for the first time in England, the focus from the game of cricket has shifted to Football due to the FIFA World Cup in Russia where the team is doing wonders. Even Tendulkar is supporting them in the semi-final of the tournament where England is set to face Croatia.

The young Football team under the inspired leadership of Harry Kane has done well and are tipped to win the much-awaited game on Wednesday. The anticipation of the encounter is such that a couple of games in the ongoing T20 Blast have also been rescheduled to avoid the clash. Even the Indian captain Virat Kohli is the fan of Kane and he had backed the skipper to go all the way in the tournament.

Sachin posts the video

Sachin Tendulkar, on Wednesday, posted a video in which he named his favourites to win the second semi-final of the World Cup in Russia. He tried to stump his fans by naming his favourites as England with a cricket ball in his hands but then cleared that he is backing the Football and not the cricket team.

There is no doubt that the Master Blaster will be excited to witness the three-match ODI series between India and England. The games are expected to go right down to the wire which will also help both the teams to rate themselves ahead of the World Cup in the same country after 11 months.

The first match will be played at the Trent Bridge where the hosts recently scored a mammoth score of 481 against Australia and another high-scoring game is expected at the venue.
