Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the world has been compelled to come to a standstill. Majority of sporting events– from the Tokyo Olympics to the Indian Premier League have either been called off or postponed in the wake of the pandemic. Amid the state of a lockdown in most countries, a plethora of cricketers are currently spending their idle time across social media while interacting with their fans.

Be it Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Kevin Pietersen or Yuzvendra Chahal– cricketers are currently spending ample time to interact with their fans on either Twitter or Instagram. And it was none other than Shane Warne who braced Instagram live to interact with his fans. Shane Warne, who was an integral part of Australia’s squad in all formats, answered several questions including the much-debated question– Who’s the batsman to bat in any conditions?

To put an end to this debate, Warne picked Sachin Tendulkar to bat in any conditions. However, he also added that if any side has to chase 400 days on the last day, Warne would definitely include Brian Lara in his team.

“If I have to choose any batsman to bat in any conditions, it is a real toss-up between Tendulkar and Lara, but I would just choose Tendulkar,” said the leg-spinner who finished with an illustrious career.

“If we have to chase 400 runs on the last day, I would definitely pick Lara,” said Warne on the Instagram live session with his fans. “There were these two guys, then there was daylight and after that, the rest of the batsmen came,” he added.

Shane Warne also picked an all-time Test squad of Australia

Tendulkar played 200 Tests and amassed 15,921 runs with an impressive average 53.78. In the limited-overs format, the Master Blaster amassed 18426 runs in 463 ODIs.

Warne, on Monday, had named an all-time Aussie Test squad from the guys he played with and the team was shared by Fox Cricket on Twitter. Warne also opined on Steve Waugh on the Instagram live, who he had picked in his all-time Test squad.

“Steve was more of a match-saver than a match-winner,” Warne said about Waugh. About the Aussie team which Warne picked, the leg-spinner said: “I am only picking players that I played with, that is why David Warner is not going to be a part of the side, he is one of the greatest Australian openers.”

Here’s the team that Warne picked:
