Sachin Tendulkar has been one of the marquee players in Indian cricket and for almost two and half decades, has been ruling the record-books. The Master Blaster has destroyed bowling attacks, smashed records and created a few more. Tendulkar has also released a biography and a biopic which gave his legion of fans a glimpse into the kind of life he spent away from the media glare and India’s obsession with her favourite son.

However, still, fans can’t get enough of Sachin Tendulkar. And recently, Sachin shared a childhood picture of him reading a book. Not surprisingly, the picture drew immediate attention on the internet and went viral. There is a famous photo of a little Sachin posing with a bat but his latest offering is a gem.

The batting maestro took his retirement from international cricket in 2013 after playing his historic 200th Test at the Wankhede Stadium. For nearly four years, Sachin Tendulkar’s presence has been missed in the middle, although several brilliant cricketers have come up since and braced the national team. The right-hander hung up his boots out after a glittering career spanning 24 years during which he became the only man to hammer 100 international hundreds and play in 200 Tests. He also holds the record of being the highest scorer in Tests as well as in ODIs.

The Master Blaster seems to have been quite nostalgic, as just a few days back Tendulkar shared a video on Twitter where he spoke at length about his childhood cricketing days. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the dimunitive batting legend recalled an incident involving his coach which resulted in a life-changing moment for the Indian legend. Tendulkar paid tribute to his childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar to commemorate the occasion and took to Facebook to share the story with his fans.
