The Indian team is currently on a roll as they continued their winning spree in the T20I series as well. After being stuck with poor fortunes in the longer format, the Virat-Kohli led side came back strong as they registered a massive 5-1 win over the hosts in the six-match series. And now they have continued the momentum in the shorter format too. Shikhar Dhawan led the batting for India with an explosive 39 ball 72, which set them up for a big total of 204.
Coupled with Bhuvaneshwar Kumar’s five-wicket haul, the hosts were left completely hapless as they failed to steer their way to victory. Lauding the Indian team for their exemplary performance, legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar put out a short Tweet which perfectly described yesterday’ s proceeding.
The Master Blaster took to Twitter and wrote, What a fantastic start to the T20I series by #TeamIndia Excellent batting from @SDhawan25 and very clever blowing by @BhuviOfficial to wrap things up. Let’s aim for more such performances. #SAvIND.”

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar enter record-books
After a fiery start from the Proteas openers, Bhuvneshwar delivered his trademark knuckleball to dismiss JJ Smuts in the third over of their innings. An over later, he went in for a deceiving leg cutter, which once again pulled back his pace and got the better of the South African skipper JP Duminy
A spearhead in the Indian bowling lineup, Kumar again returned in the death overs. But his triple-strike in the 18th over wrecked havoc to the hosts as it ensured a brilliant win for India.
The Uttar Pradesh born bowler eventually returned with career-best figures of 5/24, registering his maiden five-wicket haul in the shortest format. In the process, Kumar entered the record books as he became the first Indian pacer to take a fifer in all three formats of the game.
