Sachin Tendulkar talks about his special connection with Bollywood star Aamir Khan

After Sachin Tendulkar had to leave the Rajya Sabha without making his debut speech in the upper house of the Indian Parliament, he took to the social media to talk about the development of sports in the country. In the video that Tendulkar posted earlier in the month on Facebook, the former batsman praised the North-East part of the country for their enthusiasm in sports.

He also talked about how India should transform from a ‘sport-loving’ nation to a ‘sport-playing’ nation. Tendulkar then went on to appreciate how the likes of Dipa Karmakar, Bhaichung Bhutia, M.C. Mary Kom, L.Sarita Devi and Mirabai Chanu have shaped the way we think about sports in the country.

Tendulkar’s special relationship with Aamir Khan

In an interview with the Bollywood Hungama, Tendulkar revealed his special relationship with Bollywood star Aamir Khan. When the anchor asked him about his presence at most of Aamir’s movie screenings, he said, “Yes I share a good bond with him and is my good friend. In fact, Aamir has had his input, and also I get to watch his movies before they get released on the big screen.”

He further added that he often talks to Aamir about his movies and gives him suggestions which the Bollywood star readily accepts and implements. We have seen how close their bond is, as Aamir is a keen cricket enthusiast. During the finals of the 2011 World Cup, Aamir was present alongside other Bollywood stars in supporting India to a World Cup victory. And has been spotted in the stands at the Wankhede Stadium and across the country at various occasions.

 God busy blessing

Of late the legend has been busy distributing his blessings among the cricketers who are tying the knot. He attended Virat Kohli’s reception in Mumbai on December 26 and then was also spotted at Mumbai Indian’s all-rounder Krunal Pandya’s wedding reception in the city.
