Sachin Tendulkar thanks Rohit Sharma for ensuring his prediction was spot on

Team India won the T20I series against England 2-1 and has started the tour on a positive note. The third T20I was a high-scoring one and the County Ground in Bristol provided the fans with some great delight. However, one would never wish to be a bowler on this kind of a surface. Among the billions watching the game was master blaster Sachin Tendulkar who enjoyed every bit of the action.

After winning the toss, India put England into bat first. The Brits got off to a great start and were looking all set to post a total above 220. However, the Indian bowlers, Hardik Pandya, in particular, helped them pull things back beautifully as they restricted England to 198 which was a below-par total.

With the kind of pitch that was on offer, it was believed that it would be a cakewalk for India to chase the target down. But, it isn’t as easy as it is said. Someone has to stay out there in the middle and score the runs. For India, it was Rohit Sharma who did the job on this occasion. The opener started his innings off in an aggressive manner. He tried to stay positive throughout and got to his century in 56 balls. Rohit hit 5 massive sixes and 11 fours in the innings.

The right-hander was a delight to watch in this game. He hit shots all around the ground and not for one moment, a spectator would have wanted to take his eyes off the 22 yards. Sachin Tendulkar was following up this game keenly. He constantly kept putting his views up on Twitter as the game progressed.

Halfway through the innings, the ‘Master Blaster’ predicted that India will chase the target in 19 overs. Courtesy the blistering century from Rohit, India indeed got there in the 19th over. Hence, Tendulkar was all praise for his fellow Mumbaikar and also thanked him for making his prediction right.
