Sachin Tendulkar tweets Bangladesh's victory as an upset, gets trolled

Bangladesh defeated Australia for the first time in Tests in an enthralling encounter in the first Test match by 20 runs. Cricketing fraternity has been shocked by victories of less fancied teams over England and Australia in last two days. In the same way, the legend Sachin Tendulkar too was elated and took to Twitter to express his surprise, instead got trolled for mentioning the victory of Bangladesh over Aussies as an upset.

Australia played Bangladesh clashed in the longest format of the game after a long time. The series was expected to be closely fought as the hosts are no more minnows and especially on their home turf. But very few expected them to win against the mighty Aussies who were confident of doing well after a decent India series.

Bangladesh re-write history

Visitors, though found it tough right from the word go as Bangladesh kept them at bay on a square turner. They posted a competitive total and bowled Australia out cheaply to secure a lead of 43 runs which proved to be decisive in the end. Chasing the target of 265, Australia rode on Warner’s scintillating century which brought the victory insight of 107 runs for the visitors. But the Tigers came back extremely well to haunt the Kangaroos and picked wickets at the regular intervals and won the close match by 20 runs.

Post the victory, the whole country started to celebrate and the former cricketers praised Bangladesh for their excellent performance. The Indian Maestro Sachin Tendulkar too was surprised by the Aussie defeat and took to Twitter to wish Bangladesh. His tweet read, “2 upsets in 2 days! Inspiring performance by @BCBtigers! Test cricket is thriving #BANvAUS.”

However, the word ‘upset’ didn’t go down well with Bangladesh fans and were disappointed as they did not expect this from such a huge personality. In reply to his tweet, cricket fans trolled him hilariously and reminded him that Bangladesh are no more minnows. They also went on to say that winning is a habit and we are getting used to it.
