Sania Mirza confirms sister Anam will tie knot with Mohammad Azharuddin’s son Asad

Sania Mirza is the glamour girl of Indian tennis. However, she has been off the court for quite some time now. She recently hosted the Indian Sports Honours which recognises outstanding sports personalities in India and their contribution to their respective sport.

However, she was in the news once again. Mirza confirmed that her sister Anam will be getting married this December. She also revealed that the bride would be none other than Mohammad Azharuddin’s son, Asad. While Azharuddin was recently elected as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, his son is plying his trade with Goa cricket. Meanwhile, Anam Mirza is a fashion stylist.

Mohammad Asaduddin made his first-class debut during the Ranji Trophy last season. The Hyderabad born played two games for Goa but couldn’t make a huge impact. In fact, in the three innings he played, he scored just 17 runs at an average of 5.66 and was subsequently left out of the side. He also represented Hyderabad Cricket Association Colts XI in 2009.

Mirza confirmed the news of the marriage to Times of India (TOI) and termed Asad as a lovely boy. “She is actually getting married in December. We just came back from her bachelorette trip in Paris. We are really excited. She is marrying a lovely boy. His name is Asad and he happens to be the son of Mohammad Azharuddin and we are really excited about it,” Mirza was quoted saying.

There have been multiple occasions when wives and girlfriends of cricketers have not been allowed on tours. In fact, there have been extreme cases where Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma who is Indian captain Virat Kohli’s wife has been blamed for her husband’s failures. People have trolled her for being present and ruining Kohli’s innings.

Sania Mirza has come in the defence of that and said such things make no sense. “Anushka Sharma is blamed if Virat makes a zero, like what does that have anything to do with anything. It makes no sense,” Mirza had said at the India Economic Summit.
