Kerala’s Sanju Samson was recently picked for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh which marked his comeback into the India colors after his maiden appearance in 2015 against Zimbabwe. Since then form and behavioral issues stopped the brilliant wicketkeeper-batsman from reaching his full potential, but in the last two seasons, he has been wonderful in domestic cricket.
His brilliant reach its zenith with a brilliant 212* for Kerala in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20. The 24-year-old smashed the fastest List-A double ton by an Indian in just 125 balls against Goa, hitting 10 sixes and 21 fours to his name, as he and Sachin Baby (127) took Kerala to a mammoth 377/3 in 50 overs. This was one of the two double tons scored in this tournament this season.
