Veteran English cricketer Sarah Taylor continued to impress with her glovework in the ongoing Women’s Ashes. Taylor  is revered as one of the most seasoned wicketkeepers in the women’s cricket circle. She has often stunned the oppositions and the fans by taking some unusual catches and lightning fast stumpings. She continued her good run with the gloves and recently added another feather to her illustrious cap.

During the second T20I of the Women’s Ashes, Sarah Taylor accounted for the stumping of Elyse Villani. This was not an ordinary effort from the English cricketer. By the time anyone could actually realise what is perspiring, Taylor had whipped off the bails in a flash.

The action perspired in the 7th over of the Australian innings. Katherine Brunt was bowling to Elyse Villani. Brunt came up with a good length delivery that just managed to bounce enough to beat the bat of Villani. Villani was a step outside her crease. Little did she know, that a flash of a second would be enough for Sarah Taylor to whip off her bails. By the time Villani could react, Taylor was quick to grab the ball in Dhoni-esque way and hit the stumps. Villani had to depart on 1 because of that stunning effort.

Talking about the match, the English women put on a decent 152/6 on the board after batting first. Natalie Sciver top scored with 40 as Taylor and Brunt added valuable 30s too. In the run chase, Australian Women could not offer much and succumbed to the English bowling.

They were shot out at just 112 in 18 overs. It was Jenny Gunn who emerged as the pick of the bowlers with 4/13 to her name. Sophie Ecclestone and Katherine Brunt bagged two wickets each as well. England Women won the match by 40 runs.
