Young Indian batsman Sarfaraz Khan has already made a big name for himself in Indian cricket circuit at a very young age. The hard-hitting batsman had made the headlines after playing a couple of useful cameos for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL as a 17-year old a couple of seasons ago. Since then, there has been no looking back for Sarfaraz. He started off his First Class career after smashing runs at will in the Mumbai cricket circuit.

He made his FC debut for Mumbai but soon moved to the Uttar Pradesh side in the domestic circuit. Currently, he is with the Uttar Pradesh team for the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The tournament is revered as the biggest T20 domestic competition in India. Also, it serves as the ideal preparatory ground for the Indian cricketers to up their games for the coveted Indian Premier League.

Amidst this backdrop, Sarfaraz Khan has set his eyes on IPL 2018. He was one of the three players retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2018 edition of the IPL. While the two retentions were obvious, the retention of Sarfaraz Khan grabbed a lot of eyeballs. He would now want to make this opportunity count. Recently, Sarfaraz Khan cleared his intentions with a social media update.

He posted three videos on his official Instagram handle. In the videos, he is seen using the long handle to the best use. He smashes three masterly shots in those three videos. Clearly, he is in the hitting zone ahead of the IPL 2018. In the first video, Sarfaraz hits a powerful helicopter shot on the leg side. In the second video clip, the hard-hitting batsman is seen clobbering one on the off side.

The third video sees him slog sweep a spinner for a maximum. The videos were taken during his team’s practice session in Raipur where they played their last two matches of Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. In the match against Rajasthan, Sarfaraz scored an unbeaten 19. In the next fixture against Madhya Pradesh, he could only score 20.

Watch Sarfaraz Khan clobber a few in the practice sessions here:

“This is my #HappyPlace! Missed it so much last year…Feels great to be back,” wrote Sarfaraz Khan.
