Not many people associate Sarfraz Ahmed with bowling. In fact, it is one of the last things he would do. With the keeping gloves almost always attached to his hands, Sarfraz has made himself the captain of a side that is certainly not afraid to express themselves. With Pakistan having completed the clean-sweep over lowly Zimbabwe, Sarfraz decided to do something he would not have imagined in his wildest dream.
Sarfraz took the ball in his hand and began bowling. Although he bowled just the two overs, he made a massive impact wherein he conceded 15 runs without taking a wicket. However, one of the aspects of his bowling performance that stood out was perhaps the fact that he was hammered for a six by Peter Moor.
Having set a mammoth total, Sarfraz took the ball with a plethora of overs to go in the innings. He bowled a donkey drop to Moor as the latter simply whacked away with it into the trees and it landed in the car park. Perhaps, this may very well be the final time we take a look at Sarfraz the bowler.
THe match also saw an impressive hallmark being achieved by Fakhar Zaman who reached 1000 ODI runs in just the 18 innings, something that saw him become one of the few in addition to Sir Viv Richards with the milestone as well. The likes of Mohammad Hafeez and Abdul Razzaq also took to Twitter to announce the same.
Babar Azam also came to the fore with some spectacular batting and ensured that the visitors did indeed complete the win. Sarfraz’s delivery proved to be one of the final few of the game as well, so to speak.
