The India v New Zealand ODI series hasn’t witnessed much of a banter but the commentators have made up for the lost fun. Every time a wicket falls or someone gets going with the bat, social media witnesses massive keyboard wars and puns. Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris, who is currently in India due to his commentary commitments has fired the shots ahead of the final game.

Both the teams are at 1-1 going into the mouthwatering final match of the series tomorrow at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur. New Zealand won the 1st ODI by 6 wickets and took a 1-0 lead, while the hosts came back and chased glory in the next game to level the series.

India-New Zealand set for a thriller

India has been in red-hot form and has hardly put a foot wrong post the Champions Trophy final defeat against arch-rivals Pakistan. Under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, India have clinched the series against West Indies and Sri Lanka away and came back to take home the ODI series against Steve Smith’s strong Australian side at home.

But the victorious streak is currently on the line as the Kiwis look set to take home the cup by flooring the Indian line-up tomorrow (29th October). Styris added a bit of spice into the contest by pulling former Indian Test opener Aakash Chopra’s leg and tweeting “I can see @cricketaakash in the airport lounge in Mumbai. He is crying into his Chai about a 2-1 series loss! #callingitnow”

Chopra is yet to reply to the Kiwi man’s tweet but the Indian fans didn’t waste a second and responded to the troll. According to Styris, Chopra knows deep down that Kane Williamson’s New Zealand side will win the final contest and thrash India. Let’s take a look at the tweet:
