With Rohit Sharma further twisting his injury saga, the fans have called for more clarity on the entire episode. The Mumbai Indians captain sprung a big surprise by returning to action for the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. The right-handed batsman was expected to stay on the sidelines for a longer period.

Rohit was out of action since October 18 after suffering a hamstring injury. Last week, he was not named in India’s squads for the tour of Australia either with the BCCI making it clear that his injury was serious. But Rohit has not squandered a single opportunity to make it obvious that his injury is not as serious as assumed by the BCCI.

Soon after the squad was announced last Monday, Rohit had hit the nets before Mumbai Indians posted photos and videos of the same. The India star was seen practicing in the nets on Sunday too, making India head coach Ravi Shastri tell him not to rush his comeback. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had also given the same suggestion to the opener.

‘CBI inquiry on the injury’

Rohit Sharma looks pretty adamant to prove that everything is fine with him. And it looks like, he is indeed fine. The Mumbai star played the entire game on Tuesday without showing any signs of trouble. Even after the match, he made it clear that he is fine, saying that his injured hamstring is ‘fine, absolutely’.

The fans, however, are pretty confused with the way things have unfolded regarding Rohit’s injury. And as soon as he took the field on Tuesday, the fans took to Twitter to express their surprise over the same. One of the fans even went as far as saying that ‘there should be a separate CBI inquiry on Rohit Sharma injury’.

Here are some of the reactions on Rohit Sharma’s return:

Meanwhile, Rohit’s return to action was ruined by SRH as they thrashed Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets. Asked to bat first, Mumbai Indians posted 149 for 8 in their 20 overs with Kieron Pollard’s 25-ball 41 being the best effort. In reply, SRH chased down the total with more than two overs remaining and without losing any wicket. David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha scored unbeaten fifties while sharing a 151-run stand.
