Shadab Khan accused of manipulating a Dubai-based girl

Shadab Khan is one of the premier Pakistan cricketers in white-ball cricket. He has even played a handful of Test matches and last donned the whites for Pakistan back in January 2019. However, the leg-spinning all-rounder is a regular member of Pakistan ODI and T20I squads. In fact, he played two games in the recent T20I series against Bangladesh at home as well where he picked up one wicket in each game.

But he is in the news for the wrong reasons as a Dubai-based girl named Ashreena Safia has come out in the open and tried to expose him. She has accused the Pakistani cricketer of multiple things and has sent out a heart-felt Instagram post. She has claimed that Shadab has blackmailed her and found the social media platform (Instagram) valid to expose the leg-spinner’s behaviour.

Safia started off the lengthy message by squashing all the rumours of her being in a relationship with Shadab Khan and revealed that she’s been in touch with the Pakistani cricketer since March 2019 and the relationship grew during the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England. In fact, Safia admitted that she travelled to various countries on her own expense and attended various T20 leagues where Shadab took part.

However, when a Pakistan journalist clicked a picture of them together and put it out in the media. But when Shadab Khan came to know about this, he started threatening Safia. He’s tried all possible means of stopping her from addressing these rumours by contacting her from different numbers. In fact, he’s even threatened her that if she told anyone about their relationship, he would expose her and leak all her nu*es. She admitted that she was protecting him all this while but he had started to take advantage of her innocence.

In fact, Safia has gone to the extent of posting a few screenshots from the WhatsApp chat with Shadab and even put out proofs that he messages her on other social media handles like Instagram and Snapchat as well. She added that it was hard for her to accept but she has taken to Instagram and it is the platform for her to express herself.

Shadab Khan, however, is yet to respond to these allegations and it remains to be seen if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) react to it as well. This is not the first time that a Pakistan cricketer has been alleged of such things even as Shaheen Afridi and Imam-ul-Haq were also in trouble in recent times.

YES I see all the messages you guys send and it is very hard for me to accept but here we are. This is personal/vulnerable for me to share but I have a platform Alhamdulillah to do right. 🙏🏼 I’m sorry to all the girls who reached out for help when they were used and taken advantage of by the person I was with. Astaghfirullah that I believed his lies and unconsciously enabled his behavior. I have zero to gain from posting this but if I can help one girl become aware then I’m willing to jeopardize myself. I’ve been dealing with this since I moved to Dubai. Shadab is probably the first guy I’ve cared about so deeply and it’s hard to process this still.
