Shibani Dandekar is a well-known figure among the cricketing fraternity. Shibani started her career in America but then returned to India and started working as a singer, actress, anchor and model. She co-hosted the show Extra innings in the Indian Premier League from 2011-2015.

“Padman” is an upcoming film featuring Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor. The film is based on menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine. The Padman challenge has been doing rounds on social media for quite some time now. The challenge requires the person to post a picture with a sanitary napkin on social media. The person then tags 2-3 other persons to take up the challenge and this way the challenge spreads across the country.

Shibani Dandekar took to Instagram to complete the challenge. She was tagged by Namrata Soni who is a Makeup & Hair artist. She posted a picture with a sanitary napkin with the following caption: “Yeah that’s me just holding a pad! No biggie! It’s about damn time! Period! #padmanchallenge accepted thanks for nominating me @namratasoni … @sonamkapoor @padmanthefilm this is amazing!!”

Shibani further nominated Vishal Dadlani, Rhea Chakraborty, Monica Dogra and Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. The Indian cricket fans are waiting for Pandya to take up the challenge who is currently featuring the six-match ODI series against South Africa. Bollywood celebs like Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, Katrina Kaif and Tiger Shroff have already completed the challenge.

PadMan is set to release on the 9th of February and is set to be screened across 2800 theatres. The initial plan to release the movie on the 26th of January was postponed to avoid a clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Padmaavat.”

The Indian team is already 3-0 up in the six-match ODI series. However, Hardik Pandya hasn’t contributed much in the limited overs series yet. He was in the news for changing the colour of his hair to blue. He must deliver a few good on-field performances as there are players waiting to get into the team.
