Shikhar Dhawan posts an emotional message for daughter Aliyah's birthday

Often referred as the macho man of Indian cricket for his twirled moustache and lethal blows with the bat, Shikhar Dhawan has never failed to touch us with his emotional posts. His heartfelt posts speak volumes about the love and affection towards his family. His pictures with his son, Zoraver have always been entertaining. Dhawan never misses an opportunity to spend with his family, however being busy with the Indian Premier League (IPL), he had to miss out on a very important event, his step-daughter Aliyah’s birthday.

The Sunrisers’ opening batsman had to miss out on Aliyah’s birthday celebrations due to his commitments. To make up for it he posted an emotional video on social media for Aliyah. The video expressed all his love for his angel.

The southpaw made it to up her in an ideal way by posting a very special video for his girl. In the post, he wrote: “Happy birthday my angel Aliyah. You are a great soul and we are always proud of you. Have a great day! Sad we are not able to celebrate it together. But our heart is always there with you. Love you lots.”

Dhawan’s IPL season

It hasn’t been so great, especially with he came back from the elbow injury. Dhawan started off just the way the team would’ve wanted as he scored an unbeaten 78. However, following the injury, he hasn’t looked in the best of touch. However, he will be pleased that it hasn’t affected the team’s performance. SRH are currently at the top of the table with seven wins out of the nine games. The Sunrisers’ have dominated the tournament with their mind-boggling bowling.

With the recent victory against Delhi, the batsmen seemed to be back in touch as well. The team now looks almost certain to end among the top two on the points table at the end of the league stages.
