Shikhar Dhawan shares emotional birthday wish for wife

Veteran Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan recently shared a lovely birthday wish for his wife Aesha Dhawan. Dhawan’s family stays in Melbourne, Australia. The Indian opener is currently with the national side in Sri Lanka for the three match Test tour. Shikhar Dhawan usually has the company and support of his wife when he is on the tour with the national side.

Aesha was with Shikhar during the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy and the India’s tour of West Indies. She chose not to travel to Sri Lanka with Shikhar. Needless to say, the couple absolutely love the company of each other. Hence, on the birthday of his wife Aesha, Shikhar got a little emotional as he sent out his warm wishes and regards to her through the social media.

He wished her and expressed his desire to spend the day with her. He further added that he is missing her too. “Wising my beautiful wife @aesha.dhawan5 very happy birthday. Wish was celebrating it together , I am always there with u hun.Miss u..” wrote Shikhar Dhawan.

Sri Lanka tour

Shikhar Dhawan lit up the first Test at Galle with his thunderous batting. He got a place in the playing eleven after regular Indian opener Murali Vijay was ruled out of the series due to an injury. Dhawan opened the batting and hit a bludgeoning knock of 190 runs in the first innings. His efforts, combined with a calm and patient ton from Cheteshwar Pujara, helped India post a huge total of 600. India ended up winning the game by a big margin to take a 1-0 lead.

For the hosts, the Sri Lankan camp have a lot to ponder about before they head into the second Test. They have received a major boost in the form of return of their skipper Dinesh Chandimal in the squad.
