The worldwide lockdown has created a new culture of the Instagram live chat session. During this time, players have been engaging with their fellow teammates through social media. These live sessions have been a treat to watch for the cricket fans. Recently, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal talked about the best players of spin bowling in international cricket.

During an Instagram live session, Yuzvendra Chahal was asked to pick the best players of spin bowling in the world currently. He picked Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the best players of spin bowling. He also said that New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson make a spinner’s life really difficult because he plays the ball very late. Chahal also picked Steve Smith and Joe Root good players of spin bowling.

“Virat and Rohit are obviously quality players of spin bowling so they will be at the top. Also Williamson makes life difficult for spin bowlers because he plays the ball really late, especially on a pitch that is slow,” the leggie said.

Yuzvendra Chahal impressed with Shoaib Malik’s batting

After talking about the top five best batsmen, Yuzvendra Chahal also talked about Shoaib Malik‘s ability to play spin. Recalling a match from Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai when India faced Pakistan, Chahal said he was impressed with the way Malik batted. He went on to say that the veteran is even better than Steve Smith in terms of facing spinners.

“I was bowling to Shoaib Malik during the Asia Cup and was impressed with the way he was taking singles of good deliveries. I realised that this player has a lot of experience and I think he is better than Steve Smith when it comes to playing spin bowling,” the 29-year-old said.

Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were the two spinners who were in form during the Asia Cup. In the two matches India played Pakistan during that tournament, the duo bowled really well and helped their side win. While they were bamboozling Pakistan batsmen, Malik didn’t fall into their trap. He scored a fighting 78 run-knock during their second encounter as well.
