The Australian team has reached Kolkata for the 2nd ODI, and it looks like David Warner is planning an outing with his mates. Australia lost the 1st ODI against India by 26 runs in Chennai, after MS Dhoni and all-rounder Hardik Pandya bailed India out of trouble. And later, the Indian bowlers made life difficult for the Aussie batsmen.

Captain Steve Smith has earlier posted a selfie, where he looked bright and happy, after the warm reception in the city of joy. Warner asked Twitterati about the most sought after places in Kolkata, and the followers suggested the deputy of the Australian team to visit former Indian cricketer and the current CAB president Sourav Ganguly’s house. Warner loves traveling with his wife and their two kids, and they can be often seen having a good time.

Warner to visit Ganguly?

Warner wrote “Good morning from Kolkata, what’s the best places to visit while we are here?? Please “. Interestingly, some people suggested Warner to visit the Eden Gardens and eat mutton at Ganguly’s house. While many said Ganguly’s house is like a kingdom and there he should not miss out on visiting his residence.

Australia rues missed chances

The visitors started off with a loss after rain interrupted the first game. Australia started off well, after restricting India to 87/5 but failed to capitalize on that.  Skipper Smith said during the post-match talks “We had them at 5 for 87 and let things off a bit. MS and Hardik had a great, match-winning partnership. The new ball was stopping and some skidded on. We lost too many wickets in the middle. You can’t control the weather. No complaints, we weren’t good enough and we were outplayed by India. I thought Cummins and Coulter-Nile bowled very well in the new ball and hopefully they can back it up in a couple of days’ time. It was a tough wicket with the new ball, and then we went away from our plans too early.”

The 2nd ODI between the two sides will be played in Kolkata on 21st September.
