Ever since the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Decade Awards across all formats, the cricket fans have gone berserk on social media and are coming up with their own award categories. Australia’s aggressive opening batsman David Warner is one of the most popular cricketers on social media and often comes up with hilarious posts on his official Instagram handle to entertain his fans and followers.

Recently, a fan of the swashbuckling batsman had taken a sly dig at the opener by presenting him with the Sir G.P. Muthu Award for the ICC Male Tiktoker of the Decade, in the style of the ICC Awards. On December 30, Wednesday, Warner took note of this post and shared it on his official Instagram handle.

Though Warner was happy about getting this award, he felt that he would have stiff competition from the Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and both of them would be declared joint winners in this category. “Thanks everyone for your support @yuzi_chahal23 I thought we would be joint winners #notofficial #funny #buttabomma,” Warner wrote while sharing the post.

Yuzvendra Chahal hails David Warner as the TikToker of the Decade

Notably, both Warner and Chahal were quite active on the TikTok video app during the lockdown and came up with funny and creative videos to keep the fans entertained. While Yuzi stopped using the app after the Indian government banned it, Warner continued making his social media game strong by coming up with some hilarious videos with his family on Instagram.

The 30-year-old Yuzvendra Chahal also took note of this post by David Warner and clarified that there is no competition between the two as the latter has clearly outshined the former. Yuzi commented, “No sir you the best.”

To this Warner also had an offer ready for Chahal as he asked him to do a duet on the video-sharing app. David replied to him and wrote: “Sir, we should do a duet next time and we will share on Instagram for everyone.
