2. Replace Navdeep Saini with Arshdeep Singh
With many batsmen unavailable, Team India was forced to field six specialist bowlers in the second T20I. However, skipper Shikhar Dhawan used just bowling options and pacer Navdeep Saini didn’t bowl a single over. Moreover, the pacer sustained a shoulder injury in the game and his participation in the final game is under jeopardy.
Even if he recovers, the team management should replace him as the captain didn’t show much confidence in him. In that case, Arshdeep Singh, who was one of the five net bowlers in the team, should make his debut. The left-arm pacer bowled some fine spells for Punjab Kings in this year’s IPL and won’t mind shining in national colours as well.
Arshdeep can clock good speeds and swinging the ball isn’t beyond his reach either. He also has many variations in his armoury to trouble batters. Hence, the 22-year-old must be included in the line-up to strengthen the bowling attack.
