Sabbir Rahman has been at the centre of multiple controversies more often than not for his off-field actions. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has fined him every now and then but the cricketer seems to have become used to all this. Indian Tennis Star Sania Mirza was teased by him four years ago when she travelled Bangladesh with her husband Shoaib Malik for a domestic tournament.

He has been accused of teasing her when she came on the field to spend some time with Malik. Now according to the reports, the Pakistan cricketer has written an official complaint to the chairman of Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM). If the allegations against him are proved, then the cricket board is likely to take the strict action on the controversial cricketer going forward.

Axed from the Asia Cup squad

Sabbir Rahman might get banned for six months for abusing a fan on the social media website Facebook a few months ago. He has also been fined by the BCB previously for bringing a woman into the team hotel during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) without the permission of the concerned authority. He has also been stripped off a national contract and has served a six-month ban from domestic cricket for assaulting a fan.

To add to the agony of the cricketer, he didn’t find a place in the recently announced Asia Cup squad, the tournament which is set to commence on September 15. The fresh controversy is not helping his cause at all and this time, the BCB is pondering to take some strict actions it seems. He might also get a potential life ban for maligning the reputation of the country by teasing the Indian Tennis star.

Social media was also livid with the Bangladesh cricketer and they lashed out at him for his actions. Many wanted a life ban on him and a few even went on to say that he should be never be picked for the national side again.
