Kartik Aaryan features in latest ad for T20 World Cup 2024 as Hotstar announces free streaming for all

In an exciting move for cricket fans across India, Disney+ Hotstar has announced that it will live stream all matches of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 for free on its mobile app. This marquee cricketing event is set to take place from June 1 to June 29 across the West Indies and the United States.

The streaming platform shared a promotional video on its social media on May 15, confirming that all matches of the tournament will be readily accessible for viewing on mobile devices, without any requirement of subscribing to watch their favourite athletes in action for the biggest event in T20I cricket.

The decision to provide free mobile streaming comes after Disney+ Hotstar's successful live-streaming of the Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, solidifying its position as a go-to platform for cricket fans. Those preferring to catch the action on the web or TV need to be paid subscribers on the platform.

In the latest promo, Bollywood icon Kartik Aryan is seen promoting how users can enjoy the live action for the T20 World Cup for free on their platform. Cricketer-turned-commentators Irfan Pathan and Sanjay Manjrekar also appear in the ad in a cameo, as the duo invites the general Indian audience to watch the coveted tournament from anywhere.

India to face Ireland in their opening game of T20 World Cup 2024

A total of twenty teams will compete in the T20 World Cup 2024, playing a total of 55 matches across the event. The participating teams, including non-Test playing nations like Namibia, Scotland, and Nepal have been divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8s stage, culminating in the thrilling knockout rounds leading to the grand finale.

The curtain raiser clash between the United States and Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on June 2. For Indian cricket fans, the highlight will undoubtedly be Team India's campaign, led by their charismatic captain, Rohit Sharma. The Men in Blue kickstart their journey against Ireland on June 5 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan is scheduled for June 9, also in New York.
