In a heartwarming gesture, business tycoon Anand Mahindra extended his admiration to Sarfaraz Khan's father, Naushad Khan, expressing his wish to gift him a brand new Thar. Sarfaraz recently made waves in the cricketing world with an impressive half-century on his Test debut against England.

Anand Mahindra expressed deep respect for Sarfaraz Khan's father, Naushad, through an emotional note on social media. He acknowledged Naushad's role as an inspirational parent and offered the privilege and honor of gifting him a Thar.

“Himmat nahin chodna, bas! Hard work. Courage. Patience. What better qualities than those for a father to inspire in a child? For being an inspirational parent, it would be my privilege & honour if Naushad Khan would accept the gift of a Thar," Anand Mahindra wrote on his 'X' account.

The sentiment stemmed from a touching video circulated by the BCCI, capturing Naushad's emotional reaction when Sarfaraz received his national team cap from cricketing legend Anil Kumble.

"Aaj cap milne ke baad meri soch badal gayi hai... 'Himmat nahin chodna, bas!' (After Sarfaraz got the cap, my thoughts have changed... 'Don't lose courage, that's it!')" Naushad expressed in the clip, resonating deeply with viewers.

Mahindra's offer to Naushad was a mark of his admiration for his parental guidance and it rightfully garnered widespread attention. The gesture not only celebrated Sarfaraz's sporting achievement but also highlighted the pivotal role of supportive parents in nurturing talent.

As Sarfaraz showcased his skills on the field, Naushad remained a proud observer from the stands and commentary box, basking in the culmination of his son's hard work. Anil Kumble's proud moment presenting Sarfaraz with the national cap underscored the significance of familial support in an athlete's journey.

Sarfaraz showcased his prowess, playing a remarkable hand of 62 off 66 balls, including nine fours and one six. Unfortunately, his dream debut for the Indian team was cut short when a miscommunication with Ravindra Jadeja led to his run-out at the non-striker's. Jadeja initially called for a single after playing a shot but later denied it, resulting in a direct hit that ended Sarfaraz's innings.
