Anushka Sharma hilariously sledges Virat Kohli, batter's response leaves crowd in splits

Flamboyant batter Virat Kohli and Indian film actor and his wife Anushka Sharma, were seen engaging in a hilarious banter, the clip for which is making rounds on the internet. It is no secret that Kohli is arguably the most active player on the pitch and remains quite pumped up throughout a match with his on-field antics.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 Final, Kohli and Anushka were invited as guests in an event to interact with the audience. In the midst of the event, one segment, in particular, has made rounds on social media wherein Anushka was seen giving Kohli a taste of his own medicine by hilariously sledging him.

“Come on, come on Virat, Today is 24th April, aaj toh run bana le (It’s April 24, at least score some runs today, Virat)," Anushka said.

Following the hilarious comment by the film actor, Kohli came up with a rather cheeky response which left the entire crowd in splits.

"Jitni tumhari puri team ne April, May, June, July mein run nahi banaye hai utne match hai mere. (I have more matches than all of your team's combined scores in April, May, June, and July),” responded Kohli.

Kohli gears up for WTC Final

Notably, the flamboyant India batter will be seen in action in the forthcoming ICC WTC Final, slated to begin on June 7 at the Oval in London. Kohli has begun preparations in full swing as he reached London just a few days following the conclusion of his IPL 2023 campaign with the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The batter relished a magnificent season with the franchise as he collected 639 runs in 14 matches, lacing it with six fifties and two centuries at a marvelous average of 53.25. Kohli would be raring to maintain his purple patch when team India locks horns with fierce rivals, Australia for the coveted mace. It remains to be seen if Kohli can come all guns blazing and carves out big knocks in the One-off Test.
