The Edgbaston cricket stadium is preparing for the Ashes in full flow and it has now adopted a huge recruitment drive for people to take up.
This season promises to be one of the most thrilling in Warwickshire’s history as the Ashes returns to Edgbaston and the Vitality Blast launches in spectacular style with Blast Off.
A plethora of job opportunities being provided to be Ashes-ready
The Bears Business club of Birmingham has been already circulating notices and updating its website to encourage aspiring job-seekers to get employed. The Club has created exciting new roles and is recruiting across various departments which means there is a range of opportunities to join the team at Edgbaston.
Operations Director Claire Daniel, said,“There’s never been a better time to join the Bears family. We’ve got ambitious expansion plans at the stadium which will cement our position as a world-leading cricket and conference venue and a focal point of the community."
She is confident this recruitment drive will be extremely successful as well as beneficial, and also will enable to ensure that the conduct of the Ashes in the stadium is smooth as desired.
“Two of the jobs – the Bar Manager and Sous Chef positions – are newly-created roles to support our successful, expanding hospitality and events business. It’s a great place to work – our latest internal survey showed a 98 per cent job satisfaction rate among our employees – and we’re committed to investing in, developing and supporting our staff.”
A new Head of People & Culture role has popped up to help cement a positive working environment at Edgbaston and drive their culture and values. No sports setting experience needed, but an experienced HR professional passionate about people is a must.
