Power couple Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul have announced their charitable venture, "Cricket for a Cause." This noble effort aims to raise funds for the Vipla Foundation's special needs school in BKC, Mumbai, formerly known as Save The Children India.
The star-studded couple has rallied an impressive lineup of cricket legends and current stars to support their cause. The list includes cricketing giants like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, and Rohit Sharma, alongside international players such as Jos Buttler and Quinton de Kock.
These sports icons will donate personal memorabilia for a special auction, with proceeds benefiting the foundation. For the Bollywood actress, this initiative holds deep personal significance.
"Vipla Foundation has been a significant part of my childhood. I have spent numerous days after school teaching the children and spending time with them. Through this auction, I hope to continue the legacy of my Nani, who started Vipla Foundation with the intent of serving the needs of children with hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities,” Athiya said in a video.
