Virat Kohli is back in action with the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies. He played the first ODI of the three-match series in Colombo on August 2 and scored 24 runs off 32 balls as the match ended in a tie. Ahead of the second ODI at the same venue, Kohli interacted with his fans in Sri Lanka and had a light-hearted conversation before giving autographs on some memorabilia.
Kohli is one of the few cricketers who enjoys a global fanbase and he never leaves the opportunity to show his candid side. During the Asia Cup 2023, he was gifted a silver bat with each century engraved on it by a young Sri Lankan cricketer. As he is back in Colombo, Kohli joked with a fan about having the bat brought for his autograph before signing it as the crowd burst into laughter.
“Shall I sign it? You said na it’s for me then you’re saying to sign it?!” said Kohli.
