Few days back, a giant image of Kohli at the front of the Greenfield Stadium had gone viral and certainly, the 33-year-old has had a strong connection with the fans. The fans also exhibited their love for local boy Sanju Samson who isn’t in the T20 World Cup squad.
Meanwhile, Kohli’s numbers in the stadium haven’t been good and to add to his woes, he perished early for just three runs in the first T20I. However, the likes of KL Rahul (51*) and Suryakumar Yadav (50*) stitched a handy partnership of 93 runs for the third wicket and helped India chase down the target of 107 comfortably with 20 balls left. Arshdeep Singh was picked as the player of the match for his 3 for 32 which turned the game in India’s favour completely.
