Queensland's Marnus Labuschagne dazzled for the Australian team in their triumph against the Windies in Perth after his record-breaking innings in the series opener. While the batting ace looks in scintillating touch with the bat, his witty reply on Twitter has left the fans in awe of his spontaneous humor.

Australia registered a comfortable victory of 164 runs after ousting the visitors in Perth thanks to Marnus Labuschagne's brilliance with the bat. The 28-year-old compiled a glittering double ton in the first innings, following it up with another trailblazing ton in the second. He became only the 8th cricketer to achieve the feat of registering a double century and a ton in the same Test match.

However, the batting ace was spotted practicing in the nets even after everyone had left ahead of the second Test in Adelaide. Renowned cricket writer Bharat Sundaresan posted a tweet highlighting the Australian cricketer's desire to perfect the cover drive ahead of the second Test. Labuschagne, who recently became a father to a baby girl, spotted the video and gave a witty response to the tweet.

"How the best get better. It’s nearly 9.30 pm in Adelaide, everyone else has left, and here’s Marnus Labuschagne refusing to budge from the net till he’s middled a drive the way he wants to," Bharat had tweeted along with a video of Marnus practicing in the nets.

Labuschagne dished out a witty response to the tweet, saying, "I was told I’d be doing a few late night drives when I became a new Dad.. not totally sure this is what they meant."

Marnus Labuschagne recently became a father to a baby girl and was seen with his daughter during the first Test in Perth. His daughter enjoyed the company of senior Australian cricketers David Warner and Steve Smith, who posed for a picture while holding their compatriot's adorable baby.
