Former India cricketer and current commentator Aakash Chopra trolled Australia in the most epic and hilarious fashion which left netizens completely in splits, after Australia batters collapsed like a pack of cards to India's brilliant bowling.
The second Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 is underway and perhaps the result might just be out on day three itself, with India dictating the terms after wreaking complete havoc over Australia in the first session itself. The magnitude of the domination can be understood by the fact that Australia had lost six wickets within a span of one hour. Before this, the second Test was tantalizingly poised with either side desperate to make the most out of the situations.
Aakash Chopra reserves hilarious troll for Australia
"Jadeja ka clone nahin mila na?? #IndvsAus #BGT" (Jadeja's clone is not found??), tweeted the 45-year-old on the micro-blogging site Twitter, followed by shocked and laughing emojis. It was evident this tweet was a direct attack at the Australian cricket team after their massive batting collapse to India in the first session, which lasted only 31.1 overs.

For the unversed, Chopra's tweet was a dig at Australia, who had come into the Test series after apparently having practiced against a bowler who was a "clone" of Ravichandran Ashwin in terms of bowling action. Before the commencement of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, reports suggested that the Australian batters were hiring Indian bowlers whose actions resembled a great manifold like Ashwin's, in order to get well acquainted with the Indian spin-friendly conditions.
It was primarily Steve Smith and Matt Renshaw who layed their eyes on a bowler named Mahesh Pithiya, who is a Baroda off-spinner (reported by Cricbuzz). Pithiya was specially flown to Bangalore for Australia's pre-Test series preparations camp after being identified as a key contributor to Australia's build-up for the Test series.
Pithiya was unlike other net bowlers operating in the middle during Australia's first training session at the KSCA ground. He had been "hand-picked" for the job by the Australian think-tank before the tour through Instagram clips of his bowling in the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20, wherein the tourists identified similarities in his bowling to that of Ashwin.
However, it has been Ravindra Jadeja who has got under the skins of the visitors, as Jadeja ended up with a 7-wicket haul to rattle the Australian batting line-up. The Aussies were completely at the mercy of Jadeja in their second innings, and Aakash Chopra took this opportunity to make light of the situation and take a direct dig at Australia for having concentrated so much on Ashwin, that they completely forgot about Ravindra Jadeja in order to be able to hire another bowler and prepare accordingly.
