All-rounder Mitchell Marsh is in brilliant form at the moment and has been Australia’s best batter in the first and second ODI of the series. Even in the third match, the 31-year-old started magnificently but couldn’t make the most of it this time around as Hardik Pandya eventually got the better of him when he was batting on 47 runs.

Notably, Pandya picked up two crucial wickets of Travis Head (33 off 31) and Steve Smith (0 off three) before dismissing the dangerous Marsh. The opener tried to push the ball but failed to time it as it only managed a thick inside edge, which eventually went straight to crush the stumps.

Kuldeep Yadav dominates on the spin-friendly track in Chennai

The left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav couldn’t do much damage in the first two games of the white-ball series. However, in the third game, he wreaked havoc, picking up two important wickets of dangerous David Warner and Marnus Labuschange.

Meanwhile, to everyone’s surprise, the David Warner was sent to bat at number four with Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh opening the innings. Now, in his new position, the southpaw started well, but his teammate from Delhi Capitals got better of him while the Aussie was batting at 23.

Marnus Labuschagne, on the other hand, got dismissed after scoring 28. He looked settled at the crease but in the 29th over of the match, he stepped out to hit the ball for a six but couldn’t time it well as Shubman Gill picked up an easy catch in the deep. With that, Australia lost their fifth wicket (at the time of writing this article) and are in a very difficult spot at the moment.

Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey, in the meanwhile, are trying to stabilize the situation. However, the Indian bowlers are all over the visiting side, making it very difficult for them in the middle. However, the two batters have a lot of experience in these kinds of situations and thus will back themselves to bail Australia out of it.
