The Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami has won the praises from the spectators and the internet alike through his heart warming gesture towards a fan who intruded the security to meet the players in person and was caught  by the security.

The all-important Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 is underway, with India and Australia locking horns against each other in the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, which commenced from February 17, 2023. India are currently ahead in the ongoing four-match Test series (1-0) against Australia.

The fan was spotted climbing over the fence, getting onto the field and dashing towards the Indian players with an intention to meet them in person and click pictures with them. But the fan failed to fulfill his wish as he was nabbed midway by security, who in no time caught hold of him and began dragging him out of the field, with the fan in full resistance.

On the way out, Mohammed Shami was seen entering the field. On witnessing the security dragging the fan out, the 32-year-old pacer beckoned to the security to handle the fan with utmost kindness and escort him properly out of the playing arena. This graceful gesture by Shami won the hearts of all the spectators and even netizens alike.

Talking about Shami and the ongoing series, the right-arm speedster has been massively instrumental in India inflicting an innings defeat over Australia in the first Test, scalping three crucial wickets. Meanwhile, in the second Test, Australia after winning the toss started on a positive note with David Warner and Usman Khawaja playing some attacking shots, but was it not long before the Indian bowlers bounced back into the game to pick up three quick wickets before Lunch and stall Australia's scoring rate to a great extent.
